Our Hybrid Learning Model provides complete flexibility and is designed to help families, as they make the decision for their children to participate in either in-person or online learning
What is a Hybrid School Model?
Students attend school in-person, two or three days per week for discussions, group work, projects and labs, and work independently at home the balance of the week to review lectures, do homework and complete independent projects. This model teaches independent and critical thinking and time management.
UP Academy’s Hybrid School Model
Students registered in UP Academy work at home online, independently, three days per week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On Tuesday and Thursday, students attend classes to participate in project assignments and labs. This may include one on one reading and math fundamentals tutoring and adaptive learning programs, if required. Access to elective study areas is also available. The hybrid schooling model we have developed within UP Academy mimics post-secondary programs from around the world.
Who does a Hybrid School benefit?
A hybrid model may be the perfect flexible option for you and your child if your child is involved in high-end sports or performing arts, or if transportation daily to the academy is an issue.
Available for students in grades 8 to 12 (Grades 5 – 7 students may access this option with parent and administration approval)
